Welcome back to Term 3. I hope all families had a restful and enjoyable break. 

At the end of last term, St Peter’s Day was a wonderful celebration of our community. We celebrated Mass, hearing the beautiful voices of Music Ministry and reflected on St Peter’s life and how we can live out our College motto “Be not Afraid” in line with his life. A whole school BBQ was expertly cooked by a wonderful team of staff. Thank you to all staff and students who led activities throughout the day such as karaoke, photo booth, henna, haunted house, bracelet making, dance and of course the rides. The Cyclone was definitely the most popular ride of the day!  

As we begin Term 3, it is an excellent opportunity for all students to reset and refocus on the habits that underpin success at secondary school. Regular attendance is one of the strongest predictors of academic achievement, and every day at school provides valuable learning experiences that cannot be fully replicated elsewhere. Term 3 offers a fresh start to establish positive routines, arrive on time (by 8:45am), engage actively in classes, complete work to a high standard, and take pride in personal effort. We encourage all students to set clear goals for the term, commit to consistent attendance, and demonstrate the strong work ethic that will help them achieve their personal best. Small improvements in daily habits can lead to significant gains in learning, confidence, and overall success. 

For Pastoral Period this week Year 10s had house time, and they participated in different fun activities to build relationships and exercise. As you can see a great time was had by the students and thank you to the House Leaders who organised the activities.  

Year 7 students had the privilege to be the audience for Hadestown Teen Edition on Wednesday. The production is looking fabulous and we encourage all families to see the hard work and talents of our St Peter’s community.  

A reminder that students must be in winter uniform this term.  Students need to be wearing the College uniform pants and school shoes as listed in the guidelines and use the St Peter’s school bag. If you have any questions regarding uniform, please see the guidelines here.
