Victorian Catholic Education Authority
Dear parents and carers,
Please see attached a letter from the Victorian Catholic Education Authority outlining the work that is currently underway to secure a funding commitment for capital investment in Victorian Catholic schools. This would support ongoing improvements to our schools and provision of new schools. Please take the time to read the letter.
Sincerely,

Planning for 2027
We have commenced the process of planning and setting budgets for 2027. We have increased numbers for Prep 2027 with just a couple of spaces left as well as new enrolments at other year levels, with some starting this year and others in the new year.
We ask families who are not planning to return to St Francis de Sales in 2027 to please notify the school Office by the 10 August to assist with our planning .
We strongly support wage rises for our teachers. They are a necessary and well deserved recognition of the vital role teachers play and the work they do. The current EBA estimates is unprecedented and will naturally place additional pressures on school budgets, for our school and for schools across the system.
St Francis de Sales, Lynbrook will continue to engage in prudent and responsible financial planning that aims to ensure the best learning outcomes for our students. We are proud of our consistent achievements over the years that makes us a high performing school. We are absolutely committed to continue to enhance our school to provide a high quality Catholic Education now and into the future.
Staff News
We wish Taryn Bartlett the very BEST as she goes on maternity leave and prepares for the birth of her first child in August. We cannot wait to hear the exciting news and share the first photos with our SFS school community. Taryn will be on leave for a year and plans to return to SFS in Semester 2, 2027.
