🏃 Maramba Shines at Division Athletics -14th September

Congratulations to our talented Maramba athletes who represented the school at the Casey North Division Athletics Carnival at Casey Fields and continued to build on the fantastic results achieved at District level.

There were some outstanding individual performances throughout the day. Eve N had another fantastic carnival, finishing 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 1500m. Sallina B also produced an excellent performance, finishing 2nd in the Long Jump, while Aadvik P finished an impressive 4th in the Triple Jump.

In the field events, Farleigh H and Emily A both performed strongly to finish 3rd in the Discus. Our Girls 9/10 Relay team consisting of Peyton A, Ivy S, Lexi L and Eve N also worked extremely well together to finish 5th, showing great teamwork and determination.

A special mention also goes to William W, who competed strongly in both the 100m and 200m, finishing 6th and 7th respectively. His effort and commitment throughout both events were excellent.

We are incredibly proud of all of our students who represented Maramba and now wish the best of success to Eve and Sallina who will both be competing in Regionals in October!

🎾 Tennis Academy – Developing Future Tennis Stars

Our Sports Academy has been hitting the courts this term with an exciting Tennis Program, thanks to the fantastic coaching of Jess from We Are Tennis at Fountain Gate.

Jess has worked with our Sports Academy students throughout the term, helping them develop their tennis skills, confidence and understanding of the game. We have seen amazing skill development across the group, with students progressing from learning the fundamentals to now being able to rally with each other and sustain points – a fantastic achievement!

The enthusiasm and improvement shown by the students has been wonderful to see, and we are delighted to announce that our Tennis Program will be extended into Term 4. We look forward to seeing our students continue to develop their skills and hopefully become our future Maramba tennis stars!

A huge thank you to Jess from We Are Tennis Fountain Gate for the time, expertise and enthusiasm she has brought to our Sports Academy. Jess is a highly sought-after coach and former national-level tennis player, and our students have certainly benefited from her experience and knowledge.
