Stage 2

What a fantastic start to the year Stage 2 has had! The Stage 2 teachers would like to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support. We wish you and your families a safe and relaxing break. We look forward to welcoming the students back in Term 2.

English

Over the next two weeks, students will be working on creating their own stories as part of our English unit. This is a great chance for them to show their writing skills, understand how stories are structured, and use different types of sentences they have learned this term, including statements and exclamations. We’re excited to see their creativity in action!

Mathematics

During maths lessons, students have been practising how to measure length using metres, centimetres and millimetres. They have also been learning how to find the perimeter of different 2D shapes. Students are improving their skills in telling the time, especially being able to read both analog and digital clocks down to the nearest minute. Next term, we’ll start learning about fractions, helping students understand how to break things up into equal parts.

Fantastic Mr Fox

A permission form will be sent via School Bytes this week, asking for your consent for students to watch Fantastic Mr Fox next week as part of our English unit. Please make sure to complete the form, as only students with permission will be able to view the movie. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
