GSV Division 1 Championships Swimming
Back in Division 1, ranked as the 3rd best school out of the preliminary carnivals, our swimmers were very prepared for Division 1 Championships against the best of the best.
Every swimmer from Year 7 all through to Year 12 contributed to our overall ranking, and we are proud and thankful that so many swam for St Catherine's.
We finished 4th overall – four points off PLC in 3rd place. An incredible achievement for our team, given our size compared to the top 3 schools!

Rowing
The Head of Schoolgirls' Regatta took place two weeks ago down on the Barwon. It was a truly glorious weekend from the weather to the team spirit and the exemplary rowing from our entire squad that was on display race after race.
Across the squad we had a some extremely competitive racing which culminated in seven of our 17 boats making it into the A and B Finals. Excitingly, we had one crew go home as bronze medallist. We congratulate Angelica, Annable, Grace, Fania and Millie who competed in the Senior Open Coxed Four Division 5 for their incredible performance.
HOSG marked the final chapter in the rowing season for most of our girls, which was such a strong finish to the momentum and confidence that was built and established during the season. As a team, we are so proud of all St Catherine’s achieved and wish to thank all the girls, parents and the Heyington Club for their effort and contribution to the HOSG and the entire season. Congratulations to all rowers and coxswains involved on an outstanding regatta and a weekend that truly embodied the strength of St Catherine’s Rowing.
While the season has ended for some, we currently have the Senior First VIII racing in Tasmania at the Australian Rowing Championships. Since HOSG, they have continued their diligent approach to training and will race on the national stage Thursday through to Sunday.
See here for accurate details on the race schedule.
Tune in via the livestream to catch them on the water, find the link here.
We are excited to update you on their performance in the coming weeks. Be sure to be cheering loudly from home this weekend as we watch the crew dominate on Lake Barrington.
