SPORT NEWS
It has been another big week in sport:
During the week we announced the Champion House for both the Secondary and Primary at our Swimming Carnival. A big congratulations to Paul's on taking out the double and winning both trophies. It was great to see the house spirit and the House Captains get to celebrate with the trophy!!
Our Primary rugby league boys have been training hard during the past week in preparation for the NRL Gala Day this week. We wish all the boys and girls representing Holy Trinity all the best!
Our Bill Turner Cup/Trophy teams have also been training hard. Our girls are straight through to the second round, where they will take on either Glen Innes or Tenterfield early next term. Our boys will take on Macintyre in Week 10 in their first round game!
The Secondary Dio Touch Trials are fast approaching in week 9. As hosts, Holy Trinity traditionally have great success in this day with students progressing through to the next round. With a number of training sessions already taking place at breaks, it is amazing to see the commitment and skill of so many students. We look forward to seeing their success next week.
Week 7 saw the conclusion of our Year 9 & 10 Swim Program for Term 1 sport. It has been wonderful to be able to utilise the new Aquatic Centre in our community and give our students an opportunity to improve their water safety and swimming skills.
In Week 6, we had several students attend the ACS Winter Trials at SportUNE. Our students displayed some fantastic skills, sportmanship and commitment to their chosen sport. Well done to all. Congratulations to Rocco, Evie, Ava and Charlotte (Soccer) and Macie, Isabel and Sienna (Netball) who were selected in the Armidale Diocese teams to attend the Polding Trials in Bathurst next term.
