Reflection
This Thursday our whole school community including staff, students and visiting families, were reverently led in this year’s Stations of the Cross Liturgy by our Year 6 students. We are an F-12 College and gathering as one in Christ as we approach the end of Term and the most holy period in the Christian faith helps us recognise how lucky we are here in Kialla.
I thank all families for your support in our Project Compassion Caritas fundraising. Our Year 9 and 10 students this week ran The Big Water Walk as an awareness activity for our Primary students, Year 6 students held an Easter Egg raffle raising over $800.
The Community Action Team sold Zooper Doopers throughout the term to raise funds for Project Compassion. We are mindful of the loving gift of the Holy Spirit that strengthens and lives in each of us, uniting us regardless of faith and cultural background. Our Easter Holy Week celebrations are listed below. All are welcome.
Remembering Christ’s sacrifice we pray
O Lord Jesus Christ, help us to see in the cross the lengths to which man’s sin will go. Help us to see in the cross that sin is the absolute opposite to you, that sin is the destroyer of all beauty, and the enemy of all loveliness. Help us to see in the cross the lengths to which your love will go, that you did love us so much that you kept nothing back.Help us to see in the cross the horror of sin, and to depart for ever from it. Help us to see in the cross the wonder of your love and to surrender forever to it. We ask you this through your sorrowful mother. Amen.
