Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

Gallery Image

Please keep our Year 3 Catholic students in your prayers as they prepare to receive two very special Sacraments this week!

On Friday 28 August, the children will receive the Sacrament of First Reconciliation, opening their hearts to God’s endless mercy and forgiveness. Then, on Sunday 30 August at 9:00am, they will celebrate their First Holy Communion, receiving the Body of Christ for the very first time.

Through these sacred steps, these young people will draw closer to God, experiencing His love, peace, and presence in a deeply personal way.

We extend our warmest wishes and blessings to all our candidates and their families during this joyful time. May God bless them abundantly as they take this beautiful next step on their journey of faith.

Important Dates:

  • Sacrament of First Reconciliation: Friday 28 August 2026 at 10:30am
  • Sacrament of First Holy Communion: Sunday 30 August 2026 at 9:00am

3S Primary Mass

We invite families to join us for our upcoming school Mass this Friday, 24th August, 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, led by 3S.

During this Mass, we will celebrate the Feast of St Augustine. St Augustine was a brilliant scholar who spent much of his early life searching for happiness in all the wrong places. After a profound change of heart, he realised that true joy is only found in a close relationship with God, famously writing, "Our hearts are restless until they rest in You." He went on to become a bishop, teacher, and one of the Church’s greatest thinkers, showing us that it is never too late to turn our hearts toward Jesus.

We look forward to praying together as a faith community and ask that you keep some of our Year 3 students in your prayers as they make their final preparations to receive their First Holy Communion this coming Sunday.

KTM Prayer Celebration

KTM is excited to lead the Infants Prayer Celebration on Friday, 4th September at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Together, we will give thanks for the wonders of God’s creation and offer a special blessing for our dads and father figures ahead of Father’s Day. Families and friends are warmly invited to join us in prayer and song as our youngest students share these special gifts!

Celebrating Father’s Day

Father’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to honour and celebrate the incredible dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father-figures who enrich our lives. These special men play a vital role in our families and school community - guiding our children with patience, providing quiet strength, and reflecting God’s unconditional love and protection every day. We are deeply grateful for all the big and small ways they care for, encourage, and lift up our little ones. We wish all our dad's a very special Father's Day on Sunday 6th September.

A Prayer for Our Fathers

Loving God,

We thank you for the gift of our fathers and father-figures.

Bless them with patience, wisdom, and strength as they guide our children.

Wrap them in your care, fill their hearts with joy, and reward them for their selfless love.

Keep them safe, healthy, and forever aware of how truly cherished they are.

Amen.

Welcome to the Church!

We are thrilled to share that Indi and Willow were officially received into Full Communion with the Catholic Church on the 14th August.

It was a beautiful celebration within the 5F Mass, and we are delighted to share some photos from their special day below.
