PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Jillian Rainger

jrainger@arm.catholic.edu.au

Welcome to Week 6. It has been a wonderfully productive term, filled with strong community engagement, future planning, and milestones across all year levels. This week we celebrate Book Week with our biennial dress-up parade. I am looking forward to seeing all the creative costumes and the smiles that this day brings!

Diocesan Annual Satisfaction Survey

This week, our annual satisfaction survey opens for parents, staff, and students across the Diocese. This vital feedback from our families, staff, and students in Years 4–11 directly informs our school improvement strategies and shapes our 2027 Annual Improvement Plan. Responses are strictly confidential, and individuals cannot be identified.

  • Launch Date: Monday, 24 August 2026 (sent via email to registered parent addresses)
  • Closing Date: Wednesday, 2 September 2026
  • Direct Survey Link: If you do not receive an email, please complete the survey here: Parent Survey Link

Family Partnerships & 2027 Planning

Thank you to all families for your continued commitment to your children's education. We had a fantastic turnout for our recent Family Conferences and Primary (K–6) Personal Planning meetings. Secondary Personal Planning meetings will take place soon.

Behind the scenes, planning for 2027 is already well underway as we organize class structures, teaching staff, and extra classrooms to accommodate our growing secondary campus.

  • 2027 Enrolment Intentions: If your child will be moving schools in 2027, please notify the office as soon as possible. With several year groups currently on waiting lists, accurate numbers assist us immensely in planning.
  • Transitions: Our first round of Kindergarten transition wraps up this Thursday, with two more sessions scheduled for Term 4. We also hosted our first Year 6 into 7 transition last week - it is an exciting milestone for our students as they prepare for the opportunities of secondary education!

Uniform Reminder

As the weather begins to warm up, students may begin wearing the summer uniform from Tuesday, 1 September.

  • Term 3 (1 Sept to end of term): Transition period - students may wear either full summer or full winter uniform depending on the daily weather.
  • Term 4: Summer uniform is compulsory.
  • Labelling: Jumpers and hoodies are frequently taken off during warmer afternoons. Please ensure your family name is clearly marked on all outerwear so lost items can be quickly returned.
  • Our P and F are hosting a swap afternoon TODAY from 3-4pm outside the Front Office.
  • Alinta Uniform Shop hours are

    Monday 8:15am to 11:00

    Wednesday 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Hosting Diocesan Leadership

In Week 4, our school had the privilege of hosting the Armidale Catholic Schools Principals’ Meeting and the Armidale Catholic Schools Board Meeting. The feedback received regarding our school, the town of Inverell, and especially our students was overwhelmingly positive. Our students' respect and wonderful manners made a lasting impression. Thank you to all parents and carers for your patience with parking surrounding the school during those days.

Pride in Primary SRC

Last week I was joined with the Primary SRC at the RSL's Vietnam Veterans and Victory in the Pacific Commenorative Services. The students were excellent representatives of the school and their families. Thank you to them for making the commitment to their leadership positions.
