Prep Bulletin
What a wonderful term it has been in Prep! We started the term by celebrating 100 Days of School, which was such a special milestone for the children. We have loved watching them explore, create and learn together throughout the term. One of our highlights was getting creative in gardening with Anna, where the children made their very own bird nests out of clay. Our Term 3 investigation spaces have also been a huge hit, with the children particularly loving our movie set and nursery. It has been so much fun watching their imaginations come to life as they take on different roles and create their own stories. We have also loved welcoming our kinder teachers to APS and showing them just how much the children have grown since they last saw them.
There have been so many special moments throughout the term, including Crazy Hair Day and Book Week, where we were lucky enough to have some of our wonderful parents come in and read a book to the class. We also enjoyed a performance of Dear Broccoli as part of our book week experience and had an amazing session with illustrator Anne Ryan. Our community helper visits from the firefighters and paramedics were another highlight, giving the children the opportunity to learn more about the important work they do in our community. As part of our Big Idea Action, the children have also been working together to raise money for our new monkey bars and thinking about how they can make a difference in our school. We were also so excited to welcome our beautiful new rugs into our classrooms!
We are looking forward to heading off on our first Prep excursion to the theatre at the end of this term! Most importantly, this term has been filled with so many wonderful achievements. Ruby and I are incredibly proud of the progress the children have made, not only in their learning but also in their confidence, independence and friendships. We have been so impressed looking at our data and seeing just how much progress each child has made. It has been wonderful to watch them become confident, capable and enthusiastic learners, and we are so proud of everything they have achieved this term!
