On Friday 16 October, our Year 12 students gathered for their final official day at Norwood. The morning began with a breakfast prepared by staff, providing an opportunity for students to come together and celebrate the end of their secondary schooling. Students spent time signing their uniforms, sharing memories and catching up with peers before attending their final assembly.
The assembly brought the school community together and gave our Year 12 students the time to reflect on their journey through Norwood. One of the highlights was the video, created by Logan Bexley, Sienna Pretty, Maddy Gordan and Ava Perpoli, along with a performance of Landslide by Logan Bexley and Liana Ohi.
The assembly concluded with a staff guard of honour as students left the gym, it was a fitting bookend to their Norwood journey. Much like the warm applause that welcomed them into their first Year 7 assembly, students were acknowledged and celebrated by staff as they marked the end of their time at the College.

On Monday 19 October, our Year 12 students came together for their Valedictory Dinner at the Karralyka Centre, marking the official conclusion of their secondary schooling. The evening provided an opportunity to celebrate their achievements, reflect on their time at the College, and acknowledge the contributions they have made to our wider community.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of Graduation Certificates, recognising each student's successful completion of their secondary education. We also celebrated students who demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and other who have made significant contributions to College life.
We thank Mr Daniel Cole, our Head of Year 12, Mrs Samantha Fox, Year 12 Coordinator and Mrs Tina Dansich for their ongoing support of the Class of 2026 and for their efforts in planning and delivering this memorable event.
Now is the time to maintain your focus and approach each day with purpose. Make the most of the time available to you, seek feedback from your teachers, and continue to use the study resources and support around you. Every effort you make now will help you walk into your exams with confidence.
While the weeks ahead are important, they are also an opportunity to reflect on how far you have come. Throughout your time at Norwood, you have embraced challenges, achieved personal goals, formed lasting friendships and contributed positively to our school community. Whether through leadership, academic endeavour, sport, the arts, service or the everyday interactions that make our Norwood community strong, each of you have left your mark on the school.
As you prepare to take your next steps, be proud of all that you have accomplished. We thank you for the energy, character and spirit you have brought to our school and look forward to hearing about your future successes.
On behalf of the entire Norwood community, I wish you all the very best for your examinations and for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud of you and wish you every success for the future.
