Upstanders 2025 

Our Year 5 students involved in the Upstanders program celebrated their work at the Bayside Upstanders project launch last Wednesday evening.

They were joined by Year 5 students, families and teachers from five Bayside schools. 

Billilla studio program artist and author Cassy Polimeni led workshops with 130 Year 5 students, where they created stories against bullying, culminating in an anthology of stories published in a series of five books. Their stories are aimed at inspiring fellow students, and our community, to speak up, find their voice, and support each other in the fight against bullying. 

We are excited to share our student's stories with you below. The published book (seen in the picture)is also available in Bayside libraries and our school library.
