Sports - Winter Season

Round 1 Lalor East PS vs Meadowglen 

 

Last week, our students proudly represented Lalor East Primary School in an exciting interschool sports day against Meadowglen Primary School starting their winter season. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to demonstrate teamwork, determination, and school spirit.

 

Here are the results from the day:

  • Soccer: Lalor East PS fought hard but went down 5–2 in a competitive match. Meadowglen second half was very strong.

  • Boys Volleyball: A great team effort saw Lalor East PS take the win 2–1.

  • Girls Volleyball: Despite their determination and effort, Lalor East PS were defeated 0–2.

  • Girls Netball: An outstanding performance resulted in a dominant 17–0 victory for Lalor East PS.

  • Mixed Netball: Lalor East PS faced tough opposition and were defeated 12–0.

     

Across all games, our students showed excellent sportsmanship, resilience, and encouragement for one another. Wins and losses aside, they represented our school with pride and positivity.

 

Congratulations to all students who participated, and thank you to our staff and Meadowglen Primary School for making the day such a success. We look forward to the next week of interschool sport!


Round 2 

All games were cancelled due to the poor weather 


Round 3

Lalor East students had an away game against  Epping Primary School. Our students demonstrated excellent teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination across all events.

 

Here are the results from the day:

  • A special congratulations goes to our Girls Netball team, who achieved an outstanding 7–0 victory with fantastic teamwork.

  • Our Girls Volleyball team also had a great result, winning 2–1 in a closely contested game. The team showed resilience and worked well together to get the win.

  • Our Mixed Netball team faced tough competition and went down 14–0 

  • Our Mixed Volleyball team fought hard but lost 2–0. I

  •  Soccer, our students showed persistence and effort throughout the game, where the game was narrowly 1-1 for most of the game but sadly went down 3-1.

We are incredibly proud of all students who participated and represented Lalor East with enthusiasm, respect, and school spirit. Thank you to staff, students, and families for supporting our interschool sports program.


Round 4 St Johns vs Lalor East 

It was a fantastic day of competition where we played St Johns, with our teams showing great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship across all games.

 

Here are the results from the day 

  • Our volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance, taking control of the match from the beginning and securing a strong 2–0 victory.

  • The soccer team put on an exciting display with getting our first win of the season by working as a team and finishing with an impressive 4–2 win over St Johns.

  • The girls netball team fought hard in a very close contest. Their persistence and teamwork paid off with a thrilling 3–2 victory.

  • Despite a determined effort, the mixed netball team went down 6–1. The team continued to compete positively and showed great resilience throughout the match.

 

Overall, it was a successful day for Lalor East with three wins from four games. Congratulations to all students who represented the school with pride and excellent sportsmanship!
