Athletics Carnival Preparation

Students have continued to practise for the much anticipated Annual School Athletics Carnival! Over the past two weeks we have focused on High jump and Long Jump. 

We were fortunate to have Mrs  Abell come in for a day and take students and staff through High jump skills & drills. We thank her for a very informative and fun day! 

Also, a thank you to Dean Whyte for re-digging our Long jump pit at school, it's much appreciated.  

On Tuesday 30 June, K-2 will be bussed out to the Sportsground during their PE lesson for a practise of track events. This is mainly so they are confident with how to start and finish and how to stay in the lanes when racing. Please give consent on Compass by Tuesday. As this is 'school photo day' and students will be in their winter uniform, if parents could please pack their sports uniform for them to get changed into after photos, that would be wonderful! 

3-6 are already pros at using the lines during track events, so there is no need for them to practise at the Sportsground. They have been participating in relay and baton change technique lessons at school.

Toni Palmer Memorial Shield Rugby League Gala day

We wish Cooper, Jax, Gus, Alfie, Ryder, Rupert, James, Eddie, Chase, Charlie, Jack, Parker and Fletcher the best of luck at the Rugby League Gala day. We hope you have a fun day filled with competition and good sportsmanship. 

Thanks to Trent Hartwig and Damon Towers for running a training session with the boys this week.

Touch Football Gala day Wednesday 26th August in Tamworth, yrs 3-6
