Marine Ambassadors

Marine Ambassadors

On Tuesday 02 September, the Marine Ambassadors - Sadie D, Taylor R and Olivia W -  travelled to Elwood Canal to see our local marine waterway. We were so lucky because it was newly opened and we were the first marine group to study it.

We explored bugs and invertebrates and looked at their level of sensitivity. Then we moved on to identifying frog sounds and tested water quality.

Sadly due to weather, we could not do the litter collection, but we understand the need to maintain a clean environment in our school as we have seen the impacts litter can have on the ocean.

We hope everyone will join us in protecting our waterways and we look forward to our final workshop in Term 4.

We thank Miss Delaney for accompanying us on our fun and exciting excursion.

Regards,

Sadie D
