Reptile Incursion

On Monday, the Year 2 students had an exciting visit from Reptile Encounters, right here at Ormond Primary School.

The school hall came alive with a variety of interesting creatures. Students learnt the key differences in life cycles and stages of development between invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. They explored how animals rely on their feeding relationships and habitat to move through each stage of their life cycle, and what happens if these cycles are disrupted through environmental events like bushfires and habitat loss.

The school was abuzz with excited students talking about what they got to see, hold, and in some cases, wear!
