Primary Update – Week 5
What a huge two weeks of sport we have had! Congratulations to all those who represented our school in tennis, netball, and soccer – we are so proud of your effort and achievements. A big well done also to Year 3 for sharing at our assembly last Friday. It was such an encouragement to hear all that you have been learning.
Here are some upcoming events for your diaries:
- Book Week Reading (26th–28th August): Parents and grandparents are warmly invited to come and read a favourite book with a primary class between 10:20 –10:40am. As part of our Book Week theme, we’d love for you to be involved. If you are interested, please complete this form https://forms.office.com/r/RLNVZBpiBV.
- Book Week & Grandparents Day (Friday 29th August): The day will begin with a Book Parade in Primary School at 9:30am, followed by classroom visits, morning tea, and an assembly at 12:00pm featuring performances from Kindergarten and our Praisebeat dancers.
- Donuts with Dad (Thursday 4th September): Dads, we would love you to join us for donuts at 8:00am in the MPC. Don’t forget to book your ticket!
- Year 5 Camp: This week our Year 5 students head off on their adventure to Ballarat – we pray they have a wonderful time of learning, fun, and fellowship.
Uniform Reminder
We appreciate your support in helping us uphold our uniform guidelines. As we are in winter, please remember:
- The maroon polo shirt is for summer only.
- Boys should be wearing the white long-sleeve shirts with their formal uniform.
- On sport days, students are to wear the sport polo.
- Please ensure there are no long shirts worn underneath the short-sleeve polos.
- Students should be wearing the school sport pants, not the Preschool blue tracksuit pants.
Thank you for partnering with us in keeping our uniforms neat and consistent.
Looking Ahead
It is such a joy to see how God is at work in the life of our College – through sport, assemblies, classroom learning, and the way our students are growing in character and faith. As we move into the weeks ahead, may we continue to encourage one another and use the gifts God has given us to serve Him and others.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10
