A message from Stage 3

"Alone, we can do so little; together we can do so much" - Helen Keller

Community Action Heroes

A big high five and well done to our Stage 3 Student Leadership Team. The group of 35 Year 6 students have started the year on the run and are already proving their leadership, work ethic and kindness in the community. Students attended 2 workshops to begin the year at which they made a commitment to making a difference by setting an example of kindness and leading community action projects to help raise money and build a positive culture.

The group has broken into smaller action teams, each with a goal. One team has very successfully planned, organised and drawn the BVPS Easter raffle. They collected donations, sold tickets, sorted tickets, created hampers and of course, drew the winners. We have other teams working on the upcoming mothers day stall, a pyjama day, sports day and disco. These events will be spread across the year and aim to generate a positive school spirit and raise some money. The money raised will be used to help fund school excursion, like the Stage 3 Canberra excursion in Term 3.

Working together as a community helps create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and included. Collaboration allows us to share resources and ideas, leading to solutions for challenges we face. It also builds strong relationships, fostering resilience and a sense of belonging among us. Thanks to our student leaders for being so active in doing just this
