Principal's Message

Welcome back into another busy term. This week we have our 3-6 cross country carnival on Wednesday. Thank you to Miss O'Hara for leading the organisation of this. Our K-2 students will run in their cross country carnival on Friday.
ANZAC
Students gathered today to commemorate ANZAC Day and recognise the sacrifices made by Australians and New Zealanders in battle. Thank you to the students and families who were able to join us for the ANZAC march and service on Saturday.
Da Vinci Decathlon
Late last term, a team of eight Ben Venue students participated in the Da Vinci Decathlon. The Decathlon is a demanding academic and creative competition across ten disciplines. Many private and government schools participated in the competition; however our team performed well and emerged as the champion team of the day. Adelaide, Sydnee, Billy, Sophie, Rosie, Claudia, Michael and Blythe will soon travel to Sydney to compete at the state level competition.
Facebook page
The Ben Venue PS Facebook page went live late last week. Content will begin to appear on the page from this week. Please be aware that while the Facebook page will share some of the great things that are always happening at Ben Venue, parents and carers should continue to rely on School Bytes for important notifications.
Quiz night fundraiser
Thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets in support of this event. Only two of the 102 tickets remain unsold, so it promises to be a great night. I want to thank the generous sponsors who have donated prizes for the evening, ensuring the competition between teams will be hot.
