VPC News

Welcome to Term 2. VPC students have settled into the term, demonstrating applied learning in all activities and tasks in their various subjects. These learning tasks and activities are linked to real-life authentic experiences which allow for individual growth and progression in promoting resilience for future success.
Some of our VPC students will be attending the I CAN Program (Australia`s Largest Autistic-Led Organisation). It will be in the Churchill Conference room, Junior campus, every Tuesday for 8 weeks, beginning this week. This program will offer our learners the opportunity to develop social skills and etiquette in building their confidence when interacting with their peers.
At the Hazelwood Estate Community Project and Life Skills, students have been working hard to construct a gazebo and create edgings around the Hazelwood Estate. Students record and take pictures of tasks to add to their community projects portfolio. These are some pictures of our VPC learners at work:
Students are preparing for their upcoming work experience. They will be going out into the workforce to experience work-life with the intention of finding suitable pathways and careers. Learners will have the opportunity to call on employers of their choice and will need to undertake the necessary Safe at Work modules before the work experience begins.
Wishing all staff and students the best of Term 2 in teaching and learning filled with purpose and action.
