From the Principal

Dear Endeavour College Families,
As we approach the end of the term, I am reminded of the many accomplishments and highlights that continue to showcase the talent, perseverance, and commitment of our students.
Each week brings fresh examples of Endeavour students striving for excellence, seizing opportunities, and supporting one another in their pursuits.
I would like to take a moment to highlight recent achievements that reflect the breadth of talent and dedication across our community: Our Endeavour U14 Boys Basketball showed great determination in last Saturday’s game. After trailing 9–2 at halftime, they staged an impressive comeback to finish just three points behind, 22–19.
While the result shifted our ranking to fourth, the team has secured a place in the semi-finals. The semi-final will be played against top-ranked Northern Roar at Golden Grove Recreational Centre on Saturday 13 September at 1.00pm.
I look forward to attending the game on Saturday.
Congratulations to Fran Whittle on her acceptance into the National Youth Science Forum!
This is an outstanding achievement and an exciting opportunity for Fran to travel to either Brisbane or Sydney at her choice, to further develop her knowledge and passion for science.
Amelia Knott has achieved the King Scout Award, the highest honour attainable in the Venturer section of Scouts.
She will be presented with this award on Sunday 14 September.
Congratulations to our Year 7 and Senior Debating Teams for making the state quarter finals this week.
These finals have led to our 2025 Debating season officially wrapping up, with 7 Tigers and Senior Blue both going down in their final rounds. This season has been one of growth, with students persevering through tough early rounds, celebrating near team-wide wins in Rounds 4 and 5, and collecting many best speaker awards along the way.
This commitment has built valuable skills in reasoning, discourse, and public speaking that will serve these students well beyond debating. A sincere thanks to our families for their consistent support and presence at debates, and to our incredible coaching team led by
Mr Bonini, whose dedication makes this program possible.
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the debates throughout the year, and Tuesday evening at Nazareth College was a standout.
I was incredibly proud of how our students shone and grateful for the strong support from parents and family members in attendance.
I am looking forward to an exciting 2026 debating season!
These highlights are just a glimpse of the many ways our students are excelling both within and beyond the College. I am proud of each of them for the commitment, courage, and creativity they bring to their endeavours.
Furthermore, on Wednesday, 10 September, our College Captains, Emily and Luke, attended the 2025 Governor’s Reception for Year 12 Student Leaders at Government House. The event was hosted by the Governor of South Australia, Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC.
This annual reception provides a wonderful opportunity for young South Australians to visit Government House, connect with peers, and celebrate their leadership achievements.
And finally, I am delighted to commend the outstanding efforts of our Senior Drama students who have brought this year’s production, Secret Santa, to life.
This festive comedy is not just a performance, it represents months of dedication, creativity, and perseverance, both in and beyond the classroom.
It has been especially rewarding to witness their willingness to take risks, collaborate, and share their gifts, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they have achieved.
A special thank you must also go to Jamie Richards, for writing and directing the show.
His imagination, passion, and guidance has been the driving force behind this production, inspiring students to bring their best to the stage.
There are still available tickets for tonight’s performance, I hope you share in my sense of pride at the incredible talent and spirit of our students.
For those who attended last night, thank you for joining us, and for those attending tonight, I will see you there and I trust that Secret Santa will leave you entertained, uplifted, and filled with a touch of Christmas magic.
Enjoy the show!
As always, I am grateful to be leading this wonderful community and thank you for your support.
