Student Achievements

A Night to Remember
Last Friday night, the stage lights rose on something truly special. Three of our outstanding Music students, Alex Fechner, Thomas Wake-Dyster, and Samantha Perryman, joined voices with some of South Australia’s most gifted young singers as members of the South Australian Honour Choir.
Handpicked from across the state, this choir united students from 19 different schools, their voices blending in harmony to create something bigger than themselves. The performance was part of the ‘Voices of Adelaide’ festival, a vibrant celebration of choral excellence.
And the highlight? Sharing the stage with the internationally acclaimed, award-winning Festival Statesmen Chorus, a world-class a cappella ensemble whose artistry left the audience spellbound.
For Alex, Thomas, and Samantha, it was more than just a performance, it was an unforgettable opportunity to collaborate, learn, and shine on a stage of true distinction. We could not be prouder of the way they represented our school and shared their passion for music with Adelaide.

SACSA Badminton
Last week, Endeavour sent eight teams across Years 7 to 10 to compete in the SACSA Badminton competition over two days.
On day one, our four Year 7/8 teams represented the school with determination and enjoyed a range of success. Year 7/8 Girls Silver team faced strong opposition throughout the day, securing one win in the group stage and finishing eighth overall. Year 7/8 Girls Gold team went undefeated in the group stage to progress directly to the semi-final, where they narrowly lost 2–1 to the eventual champions. They finished fourth overall, an excellent effort.
Year 7/8 Boys Silver team won three of their five group stage games, advancing to the quarter finals, but were defeated 3–0.
Year 7/8 Boys Gold team claimed two wins from four group stage matches, also reaching the quarter finals, where they too went down 3–0.
This set up an all-Endeavour playoff between the Gold and Silver boys’ teams for fifth place. In a close contest, the Gold team came out on top 2–1 to secure fifth, while the Silver team finished sixth.
On Day two, our four Year 9/10 teams took to the courts and produced some outstanding results. Year 9/10 Boys Silver team recorded one win and one draw from their four group stage games, which was enough to qualify for the quarter finals. They were defeated in that match, finishing sixth overall.
Year 9/10 Boys Gold team collected two wins and two losses in the group stage, advancing to the quarter finals. A strong 3–0 win saw them progress to the semi-final, where they narrowly went down 2–1. The boys regrouped brilliantly in their final playoff, winning 2–1 to claim the bronze medal and finish third overall.
Year 9/10 Girls Silver team secured two wins and two losses in the group stage to make the quarter finals. Despite a narrow 2–1 defeat, they bounced back to win their final match 2–1, finishing fifth overall. Year 9/10 Girls Gold team enjoyed a dominant day, not dropping a single set in the group stage and winning every match 3–0. They carried this momentum into the semi-final with another 3–0 victory, before completing a perfect run with a 3–0 win in the grand final to secure the gold medal and the 9/10 girls’ championship.
A big well done to all our players for the energy, resilience, and sportsmanship they showed throughout the tournament.
