The POPS Disco was a fantastic night, filled with fabulous, colorful outfits and children dancing up a storm. The Arts Centre was transformed into a winter wonderland, creating a magical atmosphere for everyone.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Rose for her outstanding organisation, creative decorations, and hard work to ensure our students had a wonderful evening with lasting memories.
We also want to extend our gratitude to the many parents who assisted with the setup, managed the sensory room, supervised the event, and helped with the drop-off and pick-up of students. Your support made this event a success.
Additionally, we would like to acknowledge our generous community for supporting the Lions Club by purchasing sausages. The Lions Club is an important organisation in the Park Orchards community and a generous supporter of our school. As a school, it is important for us to give back and support them in return.
Book Week is an important acknowledgment of the joy and value of reading. To celebrate, POPS will host its annual book fair, giving students the opportunity to browse a variety of books and create a wish list to share with their parents.
Students can come on Wednesday afternoon to purchase their books and collect any pre-paid items. The book fair will be held in the Gymnasium's small hall from 3:45 pm.
On Friday, August 16th, we will have our book character parade. Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite book character. The parade will begin at 9:10 am in the gym.
Congratulations to all CBCA Book of the Year Award Shortlist authors, illustrators and publishers for 2024. To find out about the 2024 Shortlisted titles watch the announcement video
The first clothing recycling day will be Friday August 9th.
Simply bring your clothing in and put it in the recycling bin and give your clothes a second chance.
Have a great weekend,
Ms Garrity
