Out and about!

Yr. 9 Canoe Camp Murray River

On camp we learnt about the local environment and looked at aboriginal land marks, including scar trees and ring trees. We also picked up many new skills regarding canoeing and camping with minimal technology. As we paddled down the Murray River, we learnt about the history of the river, environmental threats and the importance and abundance of biodiversity. We are very grateful for the knowledge and teaching provided by the Latrobe University 3rd Year Outdoor Education students.

CSC Book Club.

On Monday 6th of May, Book Club from Year 7-10 went on their annual book buying trip. First we went to Minotaur and selected comics, interesting sci-fi and fantasy books. After we went to Dymocks and spent about an hour looking over and choosing books to buy for our Library. Then we went to The Emporium to grab lunch and do some quick shopping before we all hopped the train back home. An enjoyable day was had by all.
