Athletics Day

The Sacred Heart School Athletics was on Friday 18th of March. We had an excellent day with marching as a start, everyone had fantastic performances. The day was split up into two groups, the junior and senior. The junior events were long jump, sprints, modified shot put, bean bag shuffle, hurdles and vortex. And the senior events were sprints, triple jump, long jump, discus, shot put, distance, hurdles and relays. We congratulate everyone that got a ribbon and participated in the athletics. The teachers saw that everyone was being resilient when they didn’t win, respectful to the people who were leading the events, responsible when you had to remember something for a teacher and your best when you tried in the events. The winners were announced at the assembly on Friday the 25th of March. The Marching Award was awarded to Frayne with 37/40 points, the PBIS award was given to McAuley and the overall points award winners were Geary for the second year in a row. Congratulations Geary! Great job to everyone again and good luck to the 3-6s at Inter-school Sports.
