This week we resumed on site-learning for our Year 11 and 12 students and give a very warm welcome back to our senior students. The feedback from staff has been one of happiness and joy to see their students and so many friendly faces in the classroom.

Our teachers continue to provide remote learning for students in Year 7 – 10. These students will soon join us back in the classroom on 9th June. It has been a long time not at school, and for our Year 7 students they would have spent more time away from Rosehill than ‘at school’. We are acutely aware that for some students the transition back may be difficult, whilst for most the return to school will be easy. Please contact the welfare team if you have concerns about your child and their return to school.

As you would be aware, a great deal of information has been disseminated over the past few weeks regarding our new processes for onsite learning. Many of these new hygiene procedures are in place to protect the health and wellbeing of our community. Although the advice from DET is that it is not possible or essential to manage the physical distancing of students whilst at school, we will continue to provide every opportunity to do so, where feasible.

A student power-point was sent to Year 11 and 12 students and parents on Monday. A similar information guide will be sent via compass to students in Year 7 - 10 late next week. I ask that you please take the time to read and view the presentation with your child, as it provides very clear information on some of the key operational changes at the College in an attempt to help minimise the risk of COVID -19.

I have attached the before and after images of our staff at a recent remote staff meeting and then again on Curriculum Day – Monday, at school. It is so much easier and productive communicating when people are actually present.
