Year 2/3/4/5/6 Girls and Boys Football expressions of interest

Is your son or daughter interested in playing football for the school? If so, please have a read of the attachment below and respond as outlined.

Basketball opening

We are currently looking for yr 5/6 students to join a basketball team immediately. The team trains in the school gym on Thursday afternoons and plays the same afternoon at Golden Grove Rec Centre. Please contact jason.wain@gspv.sa.edu.au for more details.

Year 2/3 Cricket

Last week was officially a bye round for the long weekend. However, for those kids who could make it, a bonus game was held. Many thanks to the organisers for finding extra players so full games could occur. 

Hunarr, Jonte, Zach, Bryan, Josh, Rowdy, Brock, and Edward made it out for some fun. The team once again played well together. They bowled well and scored highly to get the win. Good fun was had by all.

Yr2/3 GS Rockets

The Yr 2/3 basketball competition had a delayed start to the year, due to court maintenance.  The team have been training hard all term developing their skills and fitness.  They finally took to the court Wednesday afternoon for their first game of the year, where they had a convincing 42-0 win over the Prescott Panthers!

The Rockets’ defence was impenetrable with the opposition struggling to even get close to their basket.  In attack, the Rockets played a great team game where they passed and looked for teammates in better positions and helped each other score.  A great start to the year.

Scorers: Jonte (12 pts), Hunter (10 pts), Layla & Inara (6 pts each), William & Elijah (4 pts each)
