1NR - Buddies

My buddy’s name is Oscar. He is funny and he lets me join in when he’s playing on the yard. He’s really cool!

Flynn is my buddy this year. We watered the plants together in his classroom. Every question he asks, I know the answer to it! He likes to play footy and I see him on the yard. It is nice to have a big buddy!.

1BC - St John’s First Aid in Schools Visit

On Wednesday 22nd February, the Year 1s participated in a First Aid in Schools incursion.

Through a storybook, the students saw how Johnny Bear identified an emergency, put the Danger, Response and Send for help strategy into action and helped call 000 in an informative session.

1BC learnt the first aid chant that will help us remember what to do in an emergency.

We learnt how to send for help in an emergency. You can call 000.

In an emergency you can call for help. You can press a button on your phone and a screen comes up or you can call 000. I liked when we learnt the first aid chant.

1MJ - Cricket Skills

The Year 1 students participated in a cricket clinic which was run by SEDA over the last two Tuesdays. It was lots of fun going out to the back oval and we learnt lots of new skills about the game of cricket.
