PRAYER FOR HARMONY

God of all people, God of love,

Just as the colours of a rainbow

Blend and merge to form one rainbow,

So too may the colours of our different cultures and beliefs,

blend and merge in our families, our communities and throughout our world,

through mutual respect and acceptance,

so that we may come together in true harmony. Amen.

Harmony Day

Harmony Day is a celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.

Over half of Australians were born overseas or have at least one parent who was born overseas and here at Resurrection School we are lucky to have so many families who come from different cultural backgrounds. This makes our community rich and vibrant.

It is important that we celebrate our country's diversity on Harmony Day.  It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone from the Traditional Owners of the land to our most recent arrivals.

We will celebrate Harmony Day on Tuesday 21st of March. Students can wear something orange to show their support for cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia. There will be a prayer celebration and a Harmony Day activity for students to participate in.
