ANZAC Day Service

Congratulations to the members of the Year 8 and 9 Concert Band for an outstanding and respectful performance at the annual ANZAC Day Service. The students not only performed the Australian and New Zealand National Anthems and the remembrance hymns Lead Kindly Light and Abide with Me, they also gave rousing renditions of Regal March and Royal Crown March.

A special mention to our Year 9 trumpet players for performing The Last Post - P.J. Anitelea, Emily Williams and led by William Fatai. Tylah Sagote-Mears beautifully sang both the Australian and New Zealand Anthems in English and Maori.

Open House

The VUSC Big Band welcomed the families to Open House on Monday 1st May with an entertaining 15-minute set of jazz tunes. The students also played a feature item during the welcome presentation. Wonderful, improvised solos were given by Jasmin on Keys and Phillip on the Baritone Sax. Congratulations to all.
