Local Government Carers Grant - Parent Sessions

Dear Carers and Parents,

We are thinking of you as we travel through the second phase of lock downs and uncertainty. Isolating, mask wearing, remote learning and increase in positive cases have been concerning and overwhelming for many.

We are aware that support at this time is pertinent and are providing two online support groups facilitated by a psychologist starting on Tuesdays and Fridays in August. Each group will commence at 11am and run for 90mins, and will be limited to 8 participants.

We have attached the session information and details in both PDF and photo formats. The registration link is also located here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScRGxACvzc_rsy6UViX5sDkkRP0xjXiP-hjuDHKanP7mwxiEw/viewform

The information you provide when registering will inform what content is delivered.

Kindest regards,

Christine

Dealing with Loss of Control with Clinical Psychologist Dr Michelle Lim

During this time we may feel you don’t have any control over your own circumstances. And that’s OK because in reality lots of things have been taken away from us.

But this is really for our physical health and we could actually still gain some sense of control by actually thinking about what we can do as opposed to what’s been taken away.

Some people may be able to find that they could spend more time with their family members or people that they actually live with and it’s an opportunity for us to improve the quality of those relationships. It’s important that we can think about how we could do those things.
