Concert 2023 -  News 

Hi Everybody!

For those who don’t know me my name is Mrs Nerida Newell and I am the Performing Arts teacher at Fundoora Primary School!

We highly value performing Arts here at BPS as it teaches children perseverance, creative problem-solving and the ability to focus. It is so important for students to learn how to step out of their comfort zone and work together as a team to create a wonderful show that they are proud of!

I run a large whole school concert every two years, and this year is CONCERT YEAR! 

This year’s concert is called MTV- Land Down Under and it is a celebration of ‘old school’ Australian artists. 

Due to our growing numbers here at BPS, this will be the first year our concert will be held over 2 nights with half the school on each night. (Students only perform on one night, with all their siblings/cousins etc.) This is taking us a while to do but hopefully it will be ready by the end of next week and you will know which night your child is performing on.

For this to be a success, we rely on the support of our parents to pre-purchase tickets to see the show, pre-purchase the digital copy of the Concert and enter our raffle (this will have some amazing prizes from our friends at Northcote Pottery.) Please keep an eye out for these on Compass in the upcoming weeks!

Notes will go home this term asking parents to assist with costuming by making sure their child has for example: ‘ black pants/ black shoes/ black socks and singlet to go under their costume.’ All grades will be different so please wait until you receive the ‘COSTUME LETTER’ that applies to your child’s class.
