CHRISM MASS

On Tuesday, 30 March  at 11am the Chrism Mass was held at the Cathedral in Armidale.

At the Chrism Mass Bishop Michael Kennedy, was joined by the priests of the diocese, to celebrate the Mass.

At the Chrism Mass the bishop blessed three oils — the oil of catechumens, the oil of the infirm and holy chrism - which will be in the sacrament of Confirmation in Walcha this year with Campbell & Ellie, when they are confirmed the Bishop will anoint their forehead with chrism saying, “Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Campbell, Ellie, Toby & Sara were excellent ambassadors for the school at the Mass on Tuesday. They were able to meet many of the priests of the diocese and they were able to talk & tour the Cathedral with Monsignor Ted Wilkes, meet the Bishop & talk with Fr John McHugh who went to St Pat's Walcha for his primary education.

Stations Of The Cross

The whole school Stations of the Cross was held today 1st  April. The school gathered together to walk in Jesus’ footsteps. Staff, students & parents engaged in prayer and reflection on the events of Jesus’ last hours of life on earth.

Thank you to the Yr 5/6 students who so reverently lead the school in prayer.

The staff wish our families a Happy & Holy Easter

Lord, the resurrection of Your Son

has given us new life and renewed hope.

Help us to live as new people

in pursuit of the Christian ideal.

Grant us wisdom to know what we must do,

the will to want to do it,

the courage to undertake it,

the perseverance to continue to do it,

and the strength to complete it.
