2021 First Reconciliation Date has been set for our Catholic students in Year 2  for Friday 5th November 2021

2021 Confirmation Date has been set for our Catholic students in Year 5/6 for Sunday 22nd August 2021.

Holy Thursday

Holy Thursday is on the 1st April and is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. The Last Supper was the final meal Jesus shared with his Disciples in Jerusalem. He broke bread and drank wine, as we do in Mass and washed the Disciples feet.

Good Friday

Good Friday is on the 2nd April. It is the day Jesus Christ was crucified; nailed to a Cross and died. He was flogged, tormented, ridiculed and crowned with thorns. He carried his cross to Calvary, was then nailed to the cross and crucified. The events that led to Jesus’ Crucifixion are known in the Stations of the Cross.  Following the incredible events of the day, the body of Christ was removed from the cross and laid in a donated tomb, buried according to custom.

Prayer - Holy Week

Gracious God,

 You have heard the cries of your people.

You have sent Jesus to us to be our redeemer. 

Open our eyes to see the immensity of your love for us and the wonder of what you have done for us. 

Give us the courage to be your hands and heart for those who need us.

Give us the wisdom to speak out for justice and righteousness.

May your will be done in us today and always.
