Busselton Campus' Sausage Sizzle
For the past month, the Secondary students have been running fundraising 'Sausage Sizzles' with particular causes in mind. To this point it has only been available for Secondary students, but we are going to trial opening up to the Busselton Campus' Primary students as well.
This is what is happening:
- The sausage sizzle takes place on Thursdays at lunch.
- Primary school students will be able to buy a sausage and bun (with onions and sauce if they so choose).
- Secondary students maintain the existing system that is in place.
- Order forms will be available from class teachers (Primary) and house teachers (Secondary).
- Orders including the order form and the money are to be placed in an envelope/zip lock bag and given to the class teacher first thing in the morning.
- The latest an order can be submitted is first thing Wednesday morning.
What does it cost?
Sausage in a bun - $3.00 (optional onions and sauce are included in the price)
Secondary students also have the chance for additional purchases, as has been the case to this point. See order forms for details.
Please Slow Down!
We've become aware that some cars are travelling too fast at the end of the school day - and Grace Court is of particular concern.
Parents please ensure that you slow down as you approach the College, and make sure that you are very aware of the movement of students and other cars as you navigate this stretch of road.

Book Fair
The Book Fair is on THIS WEEK!
The process for purchases has changed this year, with students taking their wish list home, and purchases to be made online by parents. Students will then deliver their paid order information back to school and collect their books. More information is available at the Fair.
Book Character Parade
How are your costumes coming on?
The deadline is imminent - with the parades unfolding later in the week.
Dunsborough's Book Character Parade is scheduled for Thursday (10th of September, and Busselton Book Character Parade is on Friday (11th). Secondary students will also be participating in the Busselton parade.
We can't wait to capture images of this year's creativity!
Primary Athletics Carnival
The coffee van is booked, the bbq is being warmed up, and the kids are practicing. Please join us on one of the most popular days on our Primary College calendar. Details in the letter below.
School Photos
Our Campus Photo days are NEXT WEEK!
Please note the following dates:
Busselton Campus - Tuesday, 15 September 2020.
Dunsborough Campus - Wednesday, 16 September 2020.
Please be mindful of these dates when booking specialist appointments,
as student late arrivals and early departures may impact class photos. The photo envelopes for online ordering will be sent home in the next day or so. If, by this Wednesday (9th) you haven't received yours, or if your child was absent on the day of distribution, please come to the front office to collect it directly.
A reminder that correct winter uniform is required for all students on that day.

Summer Uniform Ordering
With warmer weather fast approaching and just a few short weeks left until the end of Term 3, we ask that parents prepare for the transition to the Term 4 summer uniform.
To assist with accurate sizing and to avoid costly delays, parents are encouraged to
make use of the onsite fitting facility at both campuses.

Tickets are on sale NOW at the Busselton Administration for students and their families, and will close on 10 October. There are no reservations or limits on tickets.
For your convenience, credit card payments can be made over the phone and tickets collected from the office.
Students are also required to purchase a ticket.

Notice of Student Departure
We recognise that for a variety of reasons, some students may not be returning to us in 2021. Whether you anticipate a possible relocation, your child is hoping to secure an apprenticeship, or any other reason, we ask that you keep us up-to-date with your plans. It is a requirement for anyone leaving the College to provide a term's notice - this helps us in our planning, and less than a term's notice does incur a financial penalty equivalent to a term's fees. So early notification is best for everyone!
With so many families keen to secure a place at Cornerstone next year, and waiting lists existing in many cases, your forewarning also allows us to help others with their planning as well.
If you require a Notification of Departure Form, please contact our Administration team and they will ensure you have the correct documents provided.
COVID-19
With some public events coming up, we want to ensure that we comply with the requirements for public gatherings in this COVID-19 time.
Please ensure that if you will be attending upcoming events (Primary Athletics, Open Night etc), that:
- If you are sick (particularly with cold or flu symptoms) - PLEASE STAY HOME.
- Whilst with us, please practice social distancing.
- At every opportunity, please utilise the hand sanitiser stations that will be available.
