Library

Looking forward to seeing you!

Yes, the easing of restrictions will mean we can see each other and work together – but safely! We are currently working through the process of assessing all the risks and putting measures in place to ensure that our libraries at both Senior School and Junior School are safe as well as welcoming.

There will be signs directing you to the expectations, and there will be regular cleaning. Some things will be quite different, and these will be circulated once we have confirmed our processes.

In this interim period between getting ready to have some students back and having all students on site we will need to refine our lending and returning processes established as part of our BooBook Borrowing program. Until next week’s newsletter please continue to contact us via email to arrange pick up. Currently pick up is only available from the Senior School Library for items from either campus.

Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge:

The new website makes this a real challenge now. This Wednesday morning I was delighted to send this message to one Year 6 and Year 7 student: “I have just raised the bar on your challenge by increasing the number of books you can record – so impressed by what you have achieved. Let me know if you do not want me to set it higher – I can reverse it – or I can keep raising it!! It really is a challenge now.” Let’s see who else is ready for a greater challenge! To date we have: Ruby Price, Harley Kearns, Tom Templeton, Will Balkin, Evie Kennedy, Harriet Nicholls, Molly Mecham, Maggie Bourke, Faye Harjanto, Charlie Mahar and Isobel Mecham logging their reading. Students in Years 9 and 10 can email me with a request to be enrolled.
