TIPS FOR READING MORE THIS YEAR

  • Try a new book format – try an audiobook or an ebook on Wheelers;
  • Step out of your genre comfort zone. Try a new genre!
  • Find comfort in old favourites;
  • Seek out books that reflect what you're struggling with, and maybe even help you through it;
  • Make your #TBR list (To Be Read) impossible to ignore;
  • Create a designated reading space;
  • Schedule reading time and make yourself comfortable;
  • Keep track of what you're reading. Create your bookshelf on Good Reads;
  • Pick up used and/or free books;
  • Ask friends, your teachers and library staff for book recommendations!

TEEN WRITING BOOK CAMPS

The State Library of Victoria is running a number of free Teen Writing Boot Camps designed for budding writers of all backgrounds and skill levels. These sessions are conducted via Zoom and are open for all teens aged between 13 and 18 years of age.
