SPOTLIGHT on CBCA Shortlist ..., New Illustrator: 'Naturopolis' by Deborah Frenkel (author) and Ingrid Bartkowiak (illustrations), Among the steel and stone canyons of the city, nature flourishes in tiny, tenacious ways. Follow the ant to discover scraps of wilderness hiding in plain sight. 'Naturopolis' is a wonderful acknowledgement of the unseen, and the world that awaits the viewer, eager to connect with nature. You don't have to go far to find what is beneath our feet!, Scholastic Book Club Issue 5, Issue 5 is now out and due back on Friday July 21st. Please note: all orders must be made via LOOP (cash/cheque orders will not be accepted)., NAIDOC Week, NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on Earth. Why does Yern, the moon, light up the night sky? , 'BurWhela' Ros Kneebone-Dodson learned these kiki -- these stories of Malamiyayu Gurang, the Dreamtime -- from her mother, Mooie.
