Grade 3 & 4

Term 3 -  Week 1

It was a special moment on Tuesday to watch all the students catching up and sharing all their holiday ventures.

Term three started with specialist fun discovering the significance of NADOC week in Indonesian, students were introduced to a new version of dodgeball and played capture the flag in sport, and in art, they completed their amazing sand art pictures that are now on display in the library.

Students worked to finish the work samples they will share at the student-led conferences in weeks 2 and 3. They have practised presenting their learning to fellow students and can't wait to share their learning goals and work samples on their allocated nights. If you still need to book in, please make time to listen to what your child has been working hard to achieve, what they now want to work towards, and view samples of things they have completed.

Our author study this term investigates the famous comedian, author, and artist Anh Do. His book The Little Refugee tells Anh's family's inspiring and uplifting story, from their dangerous journey by boat from Vietnam to their struggle to establish a new life in Australia. They explored his memoir and will learn to write their personal life story.

On Wednesday, we sent home an invitation for Grandparents and Grandfriends Day on the 28th of July and a small note asking students to bring in a special artefact. If you have not seen either of these notes, please let us know, and we can resend them home in your child's bag.
