Interschool Swimming Carnivals

Primary RAS

Last week our Primary school swimmers woke up bright and early for their trip to Wagga Wagga for the RAS swimming carnival. Everyone was super excited for the actioned packed day that lay ahead of them. Every student that qualified all gave their best and should be congratulated with the way they represented themselves and the school whist at the carnival.

We had some great results and some outstanding achievements that came out of the day.

Jack Hawkins finished 1st in the 11-Year-Old Boys Breaststroke which was an outstanding achievement. We also had Tommy Teasedale-Dohnt who finished 4th in the 10-Year-Old Boys Freestyle Missing out on 3rd by 0.08 seconds. He swam an amazing race and should be extremely happy with himself. Well done to both boys!

From the RAS carnival we had 4 students who qualified for the NSW CIS Swimming Carnival to be held in Sydney. Jack Hawkins, Tommy Teasedale-Dohnt, Charlotte Moller and Lachlan Nagle all qualified and will all head to Sydney at the end of this month. We wish them all the best.

A special thanks to Mrs Scott and parent volunteer Beau Staritt for all their help on the day!

Secondary BISSA

The Secondary Students set of for Wagga Wagga at Lunchtime last Wednesday. After a great night at the BIG4 and an outstanding Dinner at the Local RSL we all got our beauty sleep in, ready for a massive day ahead. Like our Primary Students who competed in the RAS carnival everyone who attended BISSA represented both themselves and the school extremely well.

Wagga Wagga turned on the perfect day for a swimming carnival and we were able to continue the schools good form from RAS and took it into BISSA. We had Macklan Dalziel take out 3rd in Butterfly, 2nd in Breaststroke, 2nd in Backstroke and 1st in Freestyle. What an amazing effort!

We also had a few students put their hand up to tackle the grueling 200m Individual Medley. Jaymi Clancy, Lenny Griffiths, Lachlan Barlow, Jordan Dalziel and Macklan Dalziel all volunteered to swim the IM and they all did an amazing job. Well done to each of them! Special mention to Jaymi Clancy who placed 4th in her IM.

It was a great couple of days with a great group of students. Well done to everyone who attended and a special thanks to Mrs Brewis, Mr Hall and Mr Cadd for all their help in the organisation and running of the BISSA carnival.
