Performing Arts 

The children have been practising their hearts out in preparation for our end-of-year Christmas Concert. For those new to our school community this year, our Christmas concert is a whole school celebration held at the Sawyer Park Soundshell. This year it takes place on Thursday, 11th December, and will be centred around our Christmas Play: The Promise. The children have been working very hard preparing songs, dances and a short play to tell a different side of the story of Jesus’ birth. Every child in the school has a part to play in the concert. This is a free event, and all are welcome to join us on the evening. It’s sure to be a wonderful night for all.

We invite our school community to gather with a B.Y.O picnic dinner at Sawyer Park Sound Shell from 5.30pm. The Christmas Concert will then begin from 6.30pm. The children will be called to check in with their teacher shortly before the concert starts. 

For the safety of all on concert night, we ask that all younger siblings stay with their families away from the stage area AT ALL TIMES. There are to be no students on the stage before the concert. 

We ask the children to be dressed in casual clothes with a hint of the colours assigned to each class as specified below. This can be a t-shirt or shorts/skirt or dress etc, it needs to be comfortable for moving around and dancing. Please no thongs or slides (flying shoe risk) and no Santa/Christmas t-shirts or hats. It is not expected that families buy anything new for their children to wear. Some accessories will be provided where necessary.
