As I move through my second week here at the College, I would like to thank everyone for the warm and genuine welcome I have received. It has been a pleasure getting to know our students and seeing the pride they take in their learning in the classroom and in their work on the Farm.
Although my time here may be short, I am committed to making every moment count. Over the past fortnight, I have spent time in classrooms, on the Farm, and in our residential spaces, gaining a deeper understanding of the routines, expectations, and opportunities that make this College such a unique and valuable place. What has struck me most is the resilience and enthusiasm of our students.
I am also meeting with staff across all areas of the College to listen, understand, and support continuity during this transition period. It is clear that our team is passionate about delivering strong learning outcomes within a safe and supportive environment for all students. I will continue visiting these areas to help ensure the College remains focused on our young people and their futures.
Year 10 Board Representative
Our College Board plays an important role in shaping the school’s strategic direction and ensuring we continue to deliver the highest-quality educational and agricultural experiences for our students. The Board works alongside the College leadership team to support strong governance, ensuring that school resources are used effectively and that decision-making reflects the needs and priorities of our students and community.
The Board’s responsibilities include both advisory and approval roles. It is made up of staff, community, and student representatives, and meets once each term, normally aligned with student collection at the end of term or closed weekends.
We are currently seeking nominations for a Year 10 parent representative to join the Board. Please contact the front office for more details about nominating for this position or if you have any questions about the role.
