Staffing Updates
We have had a number of recent staffing changes due to staff applying for and securing other roles. Please know that the staff are sad to be leaving but excited for their new opportunities.
We sadly farewell the following staff this term–
Julia Drennan (Student Support Officer)
Julia has been at Hackham East for the past 12 years supporting in a range of classes and has made wonderful connections with students and families of students she has supported. Julia is moving into a very different role outside of education, but still supporting in the community and we wish her all the very best!
Jharni Perry (Aboriginal Education Community Officer)
Jharni has been an integral part of supporting our First Nations students and families for the past 18 months and has formed deep connections with our students, families and staff. Jharni is excited to have been offered a position at a High School that will tap into her strengths in working with and connecting with older students! All the best Jharni.
We will be doing our very best to backfill Jharni in this important role that connects our First Nations families and students to school as soon as we are able to secure a replacement.
We welcome the following staff who will be taking up support roles with students and classes and I know you will make them feel included as we do at Hackham East! They would love for you to say hi and have a quick chat!
Skye Palfrey and Tara Kellaway join our wonderful Student Support Team. Skye and Tara will be mainly working in the Junior Primary classes in Castle and are currently doing some work shadowing to support them in their new roles!
A NEW FACE IN THE FRONT OFFICE
Our wonderful, reliable, efficient and friendly front office face of the school, Lee is taking well deserved long service leave in Term 4. Rebecca Zahra who is currently a familiar face as one of our long-term class based SSOs will be taking on the Front Office role during Term 4! Enjoy your break Lee and welcome Bec!
Thank you for supporting and welcoming the changes to our staff.
Kind regards,
Ms Sally
Principal
