Faith Matters
at St Francis Xavier School
Greetings St Francis Xavier Families,
This week 3/4B assisted in the planning, preparation and presentation of the Whole School Prayer. I very much appreciated their input, organisation of prayers, photos and illustrations and willingness to broadcast over the PA.
The focus this week was St Paul's letter to the Colossians as outlined below.
We shared how this connects to the fruits of the Holy Spirit, joy, generosity, patience, love, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, self control and peace. Our Year 5s and 6s have been exploring these in relation to the Sacrament of Confirmation and our everyday lives. But, we agreed that everyone can be practising these values and behaviours.
Onashamsakal!
As a Catholic school that embraces the richness of all cultures, we would like to wish our families who recently celebrated the festival of Onam.
Onam reminds us of the values we hold dear—family, kindness, and the joy of sharing. May this festive season bring peace to your hearts, harmony to your homes, and blessings in abundance. Let us thank God for the gift of community and the beauty of our diverse traditions. Happy Onam to you and your loved ones, from all of us at SFX.
Year 1/2 Class Mass
The 1/2 classes will be helping Father with mass next week on Tuesday at 9:15am. Families from all year levels are welcome to attend.
Whole School Prayer
Our final Whole School Prayer for the Term will be on the last day of school, Friday, 19th September at the usual time of 8:50am.
Warmest wishes and God's blessings,
