Division Athletics

On Wednesday 4 October a group of talented Mullum students competed in the Division Athletics Carnival at Bill Sewart Reserve. Congratulations to our whole team for a great job in wet conditions. 

Region Aths

Luke L, Samuel T, Layla L-J and Iraa O competed at the Eastern Region Athletics on Friday 20 October.  This was held at the Tom Kelly Athletics Track in East Doncaster.

State Athletics

On Wednesday 25 October, Layla L-J and Iraa O continued their athletics journey by competing at the State Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park.

Layla competed in the 12/13 year old girls shot put (3rd), long jump (5th) and 100m sprint (6th).

Iraa competed in the 9/10 year old girls 100m sprint (7th).

We have been delighted to see these students progress through a series of athletic competition levels this semester and are impressed with each standard they have reached. 

Hot Shots Girls

The journey of our Grade 5/6 interschool sport Hot Shots Girls team has continued this term.  After winning their District final the team progressed to the Division final held at Yarra Valley Grammar on Wednesday 11 October. At this event they played a round robin tournament against teams from the Ringwood North and Ringwood Districts. Staff member Lachlan Fraser supported our girls on this day, along with all their parents and grandparents.  The team came an impressive 2nd at Division.

A surprise for us all was when the Region Coordinator invited our Hot Shots Girls team to the Eastern Region tournament!  This was held at the North Ringwood Tennis Club on Wednesday 8 November.  Our team made it through to the first level of finals.  Well done Zara, Sisley, May, Malia, Elyse, Karam, Stephanie, Chloe, Amanat and Alexis!!
