We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day and enjoyed the special gifts brought home from the Mother’s Day Stall. It was so much fun helping the students choose their presents — it’s always one of the highlights of the year! It was also fantastic to see a few new faces helping out at the stall. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to make the day such a success.
We were then thoroughly spoilt on Monday with the lovely Mother’s Day Breakfast. A huge thank you to Mrs Joyce for organising such a wonderful event and creating such a warm and welcoming morning for our school community. Hopefully next year we can recruit a few more dads to help out with the preparation and set-up before work! Thank you as well to those who generously gave their time to help on the morning.
While Mother’s Day has just wrapped up, we’re already thinking ahead to Father’s Day — so dads, please start planning for a slightly later start to work that Friday morning!
We’re also excited to share that the Parents Association has raised enough money to purchase a new high jump mat for the school. We hope it will help the students continue to build their skills and prepare for District Athletics in Term 3.
Planning is already underway for the rest of the year, with plenty more exciting events ahead. Our next second-hand uniform shop will be held on Friday 19th June. We are looking for new helpers to assist Elaine at the shop for maximum an hour on the day that the shop is open. Please contact the office if you are able to help - syndal.south.ps@education.vic.gov.au or call 9802 5277.
Thank you again for your continued support of our school community!
