Common Good
The Common Good reminds us to do what is best for everyone, not just ourselves.
At St Patrick’s, we encourage students to think about how their choices, words and actions impact those around them. We work to create a school community where students support one another, celebrate each other’s successes and contribute positively to the classroom and playground.
Through our school values of Kindness, Respect and Learning, students are encouraged to work cooperatively, include others and help create an environment where everyone can feel safe, happy and supported.
The Common Good is lived out through the everyday ways students contribute positively to our school community such as supporting classmates, working together during learning and helping create a welcoming environment for all.
By helping students understand the importance of thinking beyond themselves, we continue to build a caring and connected community where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.

Solidarity
Solidarity teaches us that we are all responsible for one another and that we are part of one human family.
At St Patrick’s, we encourage students to show empathy, compassion and care towards others. We help students understand the importance of standing alongside people who may need support, encouragement or kindness.
Through our school values of Kindness, Respect and Learning, students are encouraged to include others, support younger students, build positive friendships and recognise when someone may need help or encouragement.
Solidarity is lived out through buddy activities, FIRE Carrier initiatives and the everyday moments of school life such as welcoming someone into a game, helping a classmate during learning and showing care for those around us.
By helping students understand that we all have a responsibility to care for one another, we continue to build a compassionate and inclusive school community where everyone feels valued and supported.
