Junior & Senior Athletics Carnivals
Senior School
The Senior School Athletics Carnival was an epic day of competition, spirit and determination. Students gave it their all across every event, pushing themselves right to the finish line - even when the lactic acid was well and truly building during those tough 400m races! It was fantastic to see such great participation, encouragement between houses and plenty of memorable performances throughout the day.
Congratulations to Knox, who were crowned the winning Senior School house for 2026 after a strong day across the track and field events.

In our second year running the Royal 100, the eight fastest times recorded in the 100m across the age-group races returned to the track to battle it out for the title of fastest male and female sprinter. After an exciting showdown, the races were won by Year 12's Matthew P and Year 9's Tilly V.
Well done to all students for the effort, sportsmanship and house pride shown throughout the day.
Junior School
On Thursday 5th March, our Junior School students enjoyed a fantastic day at the annual Athletics Carnival. It was wonderful to see students proudly dressed in their House colours, showing great enthusiasm and support for their teams throughout the day. The atmosphere was full of excitement, with vibrant House posters on display and students cheering on their peers in every event.
Students demonstrated terrific effort, sportsmanship, and encouragement for one another, making the day a wonderful celebration of participation and House spirit.
A highlight of the carnival was the staff novelty race, with our Prep students ‘along for the ride’. This event brought plenty of laughter and was thoroughly enjoyed by students and staff alike.
A sincere thank you to all of the Year 10's, parents, grandparents and family members who volunteered their time across the day to assist with events, as well as those who helped behind the scenes. Your support plays a vital role in making days like this possible. Thank you also to the PTFA for preparing and serving food throughout the day, ensuring everyone stayed well fuelled. The time, effort and enthusiasm of all our volunteers is greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
Congratulations to Calvin, who were crowned the 2026 Junior School Athletics Carnival House Champions, followed by Knox in second place and Luther in third.

Junior School Division Swimming
On Friday 27th February, a team of 20 Junior School students represented King’s College at the Division Swimming Championships held at Aquazone. After qualifying by time at our school carnival, students proudly wore their King’s College swimming caps and jackets, generously donated by the PTFA, as they competed against schools from across South West Victoria.
There were many fantastic swims throughout the day, with several students improving on their times from the school Swimming Carnival. Our students represented the College with great enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship, and should be very proud of their efforts.
A sincere thank you to the parents who generously volunteered their time on the day to assist with timekeeping. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps ensure events like this run smoothly.
Congratulations to all students who competed and gave their very best in the pool. A special congratulations to Rosie, Alina, Maeve, Rebecca and Mollie, who achieved outstanding results and have qualified to progress to the Regional Championships. We wish them the very best for their upcoming event.
