Wellbeing:
Find Ya Feet Incursion
This week, students in Years 1-4 participated in a Find Ya Feet wellbeing workshop led by Lou. Through engaging activities and discussions, students explored what it means to be a good mate and build positive friendships.
One of the key messages was that a good friend is like a fence post. Fence posts provide support, create boundaries and help keep us safe. Students discussed how good friends do the same by showing kindness, respecting boundaries and looking out for one another.
The workshop also explored the difference between solid behaviours and wonky behaviours, helping students recognise how their actions can positively impact others. Students discussed wonky feelings such as sadness, worry or frustration and learnt practical ways to support friends experiencing these emotions.
The session provided valuable opportunities for students to strengthen their social and emotional skills, develop empathy, and learn strategies for building safe, respectful and supportive relationships.
