It is hard to believe term 1 is already over!
A big thank you to all our staff for their work over the term. Like students, I have no doubt they are looking forward to a well-earned break, after what has been a very busy term. For families requiring care over the holidays, please note that OSHC will resume operation on Tuesday 2nd April.
Friday's Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival was well supported and provided a great day of competition. Congratulations to all students on their participation and a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the day!
I would particularly like to thank all volunteers for their assistance, as we simply could not have run the sports without you! A big thank you also to Steph for her organisation and to all staff and schools, for their contribution to another great cluster sports day!
It has been a busy few weeks for fundraising, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all families for their support. Our BBQ and Bakery lunch helped raise $785.60 towards our Year 5/6 Wilsons Prom Camp, while our Easter Raffle has raised $3,882.05 towards the painting our our school.
Many thanks to everyone who sold or bought a ticket and congratulations to all those students who earned themselves a voucher from Settlers by selling 25 or more tickets!
Thank you so much to all our sponsors and community for your ongoing support of the school.
We would particularly like to acknowledge the following individuals and businesses: Jude and Heath Matheson, supported by DC, Mark, Karl and Ben who helped cut and split the wood, for the grand prize of a trailer load of wood. Foodworks, Sassy Road, Grass Valley, Gather and Harvest, Mountain Monk, Snowflake Gin, Alpine Outfitters, Honeybird Coffee, Settlers Tavern, the Mount Beauty Bakery, Tawonga South butchers and Bright Woolworths.
Congratulations also to our lucky winners!
We would also like to thank Mount Beauty Foodworks for their recent donation of $1001 as part of the Spirit of Community program. Thank you to everyone who has nominated their supermarket points to our school, as we really appreciate the support. This donation will be used to subsidise the cost of transport for the Wilsons Prom camp.
As we finish up the term, I would like to acknowledge and thank all families, for your ongoing partnership in learning and involvement in our school events and activities, which is so appreciated by us all. In addition, we would like to extend a big thank you to the Red Cross volunteers, for their ongoing support with providing Breakfast Club over the term. We trust that you all enjoy a happy and safe Easter Holiday period, and look forward to working with you again in Term 2!
